Today in class we started to discuss September 11th. We focused on the facts associated with the day and discussed "What Happened". The kids worked in groups to fill out a chart about what they know and what questions they have about this historical day. After we discussed these as a class, we watched the Brain Pop about September 11th. They all still have tons of questions and we will continue to discuss the facts tomorrow and will watch another video that is produced by Nick News and is a bit more indeapth. Then Wednesday and Thrusday, we will turn the focus from what happened, to discussions of the heros of 9-11, what our country has done to proetct itself since that day, and on Thrusday we will be writing letters to our personal heros.
